A high income economy under a BN government presiding over a stalled economy, is wishful thinking. For a nation, FDI of under $5 Billion is a trickle, not enough for 2 sub-marines!

Real and disposable income is dropping fast following the oil shock of 2008 and subsequent imported and local inflation.

Over 50% of Malaysians are suffering from low income relative to cost of living.

Just think what is "high income" for Malaysians? Average annual income of RM 60k, 120k or 180k ? It has to be good disposable income after essential expenses of a family. What a miracle would you need even for RM 60k income p.a.?

A more realistic goal is a living wage propped up by a minimal wage, a social safety net, affordable public transport and quality public sector health care.

I am a middle income group but I fully support minimum wages. Look at country like France where the minimum wages is 1K in Euro. Imagine that will this wages even a garbage collector can enjoy holidays overseas and having a car.

What can Malaysian really do with 1K ringgit? It is even worst if someone earn below that. When can Malaysia progress in human capital or high income economy if big chunk of the people not even afford to travel overseas for exposure.

Trust me, this way Malaysian will never progress far. Forget about 2020.

Why is the size of the cabinet not reflecting the percentage of the population of Malaysia ?
That is, of course, if the pariah Mahathir appointed censor
board and its officials' figures can be accepted.
Aren't the desperations to expedite the approval for the application for Malaysian citizens by the Indonesian immigrants and the half breed muslims ?
While some non muslims' applications take a loooooong time or some even a life time for approval ?

This it the pariah Mahatir's only way to fill up his claim of the percentage- and of course to justify for the many pro-Malay policies and the atrocities ? Also it was the only way he can rob the people in the name of Malay when he is actually an Indian pariah.
UMNO members' figures represent only, at most, 20% of Malaysia's Malay and also why is it that the corrupted UMNO members always hold about 80% of the cabinet positions all the time and 100% of the cabinet senior positions ? That surely must be some of the reasons why most, if not all of the them, are so corrupted.
And what about the Malays who support the opposition ?
Or are they saying that the non Malays do not have people with enough brains ?
Since Tun Tan Siew Sin the first finance minister has always being held by P.M. or the very powerful or shall I say who subsequently became filthy rich Malays in their retirement?
The reason why all of the UMNO members turn to money politics ?

" RM900 in basic and RM300 in COLA suggested by MTUC may be a little unrealistic". Actually it is very unrealistic given the fact that not only we face inflation but also we need to pay double tax for almost anything such as (road tax & toll) and (income tax & sales tax). I think the government should set a much higher minimum wage and it should relate to enable a decent living condition.

It is for all malaysian to protect all malaysian welfares by urging the govt to set up a minimum wage policy in our beloving country, Malaysia. I am so sad to know that our country still not implementing this policy eventhough our country had so long achieved as a developing country. All the trade union should cooperate with all NGO's and political parties besides all the individuals to share their commitments to make this dream comes through. Do not stop to voice out and urges the ministries untill they really able to enact the policies in this country. I am sure all the citizen will support you whatever it costs.
